16.00 - 16.45 “I’m a credit card fraudster – how I screwed the system” Elliot Castro & Neil Forsyth - Authors of ‘Other People’s Money: The Rise & Fall of Britain’s Most Audacious Fraudster’ Fraudster tells the incredible story of Elliot Castro: how he progressed from a petty thief to the country's most notorious credit card fraudster. In this session, Forsyth interviews Castro, and the two discuss both his story and the insight that it offers into the credit card and security industry. Castro describes his various techniques, and reveals the gaps he located in the security practices of some of the largest credit card companies and banks in the world. As well as Castro, police and legal figures co-operated on the book and their input is also brought out, to give a balanced view on the difficulties facing those who attempt to prosecute credit card fraud cases.
